Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a gem with beautiful views right on the bay, offering a glimpse into Manila's rich history. The rooms are spotless and spacious with luxurious amenities, including a TV on the bath tub wall and a separate stand-up shower.
The hotel has a lot of character as it's 102 years old, part of Manila's history, and well-maintained. The location offers a taste of the city's vibrant life, with the bonus of being across from Rizal Park. The rooms are spacious and well-lit, though some facilities are showing their age. The dining offers a varied menu with good quality local meat. Service can be a bit slow but is generally friendly and accommodating.
The hotel may have small rooms but they are very comfortable. I experienced outstanding service with attention to every detail at Cafe Ilang-Ilang. The location is a bit weather dependent and could use some improvement. Dining at the Ylang Ylang Cafe may be high-priced, especially if you have food allergies. Overall, a mix of great and not so great aspects.
The hotel has a classic but charming set-up with spacious rooms offering beautiful views from the balcony. The service is attentive and pleasant, although there were some uncomfortable moments. The location is fantastic, close to Intramuros and part of Manila's history. The dining experience is excellent with a wide range of choices, and the facilities are top-notch.
My stay at the hotel was nice and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast in the Mac Arthur Business Lounge was good. However, some staff members, especially those handling ala carte orders and the buffet entrance, were not very friendly.
The hotel offers clean and well-maintained rooms in the main building. While the readiness of the suites was delayed during our stay, the location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Luneta Park and Intramuros. The service was polite and accommodating, but there were moments of inconsistency in attending to guest concerns. The dining experience was enjoyable overall, with room for improvement. The hotel facilities provided a comfortable and modern setting for guests.
What a mix of experiences at this hotel! The rooms had a nice view of the bay at the back, spacious and clean, situated in between McArthur & Jose Rizal Suite areas, which added to the comfort. As a Prestige member, I enjoyed the extra perks, but the service had its hiccups with delays and room changes. The location, not ideal for nearby dining options, but free transport to malls helped. The dining was a highlight at Ilang Ilang, always awesome, although crowded. The facilities were satisfactory.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, though spacious and clean with a classic Filipiniana theme, felt a bit dated due to some now redundant features. The service was a bit slow, but the staff were very polite and helpful. The location was centrally located with beautiful bay views, but some aspects felt old-fashioned. The dining options were varied and excellent during my stay.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms are lovely and spacious, named after the national heroes of the Philippines. I enjoyed a great view of either Manila Bay or Fort Santiago. The service was top-notch with very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect for exploring Intramuros, and the dining experience was excellent. Overall, a wonderful experience!
The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, providing a quiet stay; however, the early morning light might be intense without drawn curtains. The location offered a unique ambiance for smokers but was criticized for insect presence in the evenings. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement in certain areas.
